Reeds, Leaves and Shoots - {Virginia Water Shoot Swap}

I spent an amazing day with fellow photographers at Virginia Water in Surrey last Sunday.  It was a 'Shoot swap' organised by the brilliant Juliet from Sugar and Spice Photography where 30+ photographers of all differing skills and styles got together and shot each other (not in the gunslinging sense!).


The backdrops were great and the light was awesome, I think we all took something away from the day either in technical skills, friendships or posing ideas.  I must admit I am not particularly happy being on the other side of the lens but its a great experience to fully understand how my clients must feel.  I learnt a great deal from the day and can't wait to do it again.

Pay it forward - My interview with my friend Sarah Gardner.....

Its refreshing to be able to help out a fellow photographer - and one which I really admire!!! Sarah has been a friend for quite a few years and I have always looked at her work as an inspiration - I will never be 'Sarah' as I have quite a different style, but I can be inspired by her work......

Becoming part of 'The Photography Parlour' - Interviewer extraordinaire!!

I have been lucky to have the time to help out as a regular contributor to The Photography Parlour.   "The Photography parlour is a place for all aspiring pro photographers to come and relax, grab a cup of tea and mingle with likeminded folks!"
I have currently written two articles on photographers I admire and have followed their work for a while.

Featuring in Crown Plaza Marlow Wedding Brochure

I photographed a wedding last April at the Crowne Plaza Marlow for a lovely couple.  The original blog is Here.  


Last October I was approached by Hotcake Marketing asking if some of my photographs from the wedding day could be used for the publication.  I am pleased to say that 5 photographs have been shown.

Happy Valentines Day

Since having my little boy valentines day takes on a new meaning....... I was woken with a cup of tea and a card from husband and little boy plus our valentines meal will be shared 3 ways too!!!! 

And finally....... Part 7 - Acorn Nursery - Shenley, featuring forest school

One of my favorite sites was Shenley Church End nursery where the girls from Forest School joined me and the children outside.  It was such fun and the children loved it, even on a slightly chilly Autumn day.


This is my last post for a while with Acorn Childcare, however a new site has been opened at Milton Keynes - The Willows and hope to visit and take some photographs once its established itself.

New Bradwell was a new site to Acorn Childcare  which opened in March 2010.
